Throughout the week, Elm Valley Joint Fire District station will be illuminated with red memorial lights, creating a visible tribute to the courageous firefighters who gave their lives while protecting their communities.
The Elm Valley Joint Fire District encourages residents and businesses throughout the community to join in the tribute by displaying red lights outside their homes or businesses during the week of April 26–May 3. Participating in this simple act of remembrance helps show appreciation for the sacrifices made by firefighters and their families.
The initiative coincides with National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, when the nation gathers to remember firefighters who died in the line of duty and to support their families. |
